Massachusetts state senator, Plymouth and Barnstable district

State Senator Susan L. Moran proudly represents the Plymouth & Barnstable District. Her district is made up of Bourne, Falmouth, Kingston, Pembroke, Plymouth, and Sandwich. As of 2023, she will also be representing the Towns of Mashpee and Plympton.  Senator Moran is profoundly experienced in the needs of the district. She has been living and working for decades on the Upper Cape as a lawyer for small businesses, owner of a real estate company, mental health provider, local government leader, and now as your state senator.

Before running for office at the state level, Senator Moran served as Chairman of the Falmouth Select Board, President of the Cape & Islands Selectmen and Councilors Association, Falmouth’s delegate and Deputy Speaker to the Barnstable County Assembly, and several other regional and municipal councils including the Cape Economic Development Council, and Cape Cod Coastal Resources Water Collaborative. As State Senator for the Plymouth and Barnstable District, Senator Moran actively advocates for her constituents in her commission and task force leadership. As reflected by her committee appointments, commission and caucus roles, and legislative victories, Senator Moran is a leader in the legislature on pressing issues related to economic development including childcare, transportation, education, the maritime economy, and protecting our environment.
