Jason develops sustainable transportation solutions for complex urban environments. As Toole Design’s Boston Office Director, Jason has extensive experience overseeing efforts that span transportation planning, design, and engineering. He is an industry leader in delivering cutting edge geometric roadway and signal system policy and engineering, prioritizing the safety and comfort of pedestrians, transit riders, and bicyclists. These include design contracts and on-call agreements with MassDOT as well many New England cities and towns including Boston, Cambridge, Somerville, Northampton, Salem, Providence, Hartford, and New Haven. Jason leads Toole Design’s team in undertaking projects that deliver quantified public safety benefits, enhance mobility alternatives, and foster community inclusion. He is an advocate for Vision Zero and he champions its principles in various forums, including in his role as Chair of the Institute of Transportation Engineer’s (ITE) Advocacy Committee and as a contributor to the Strong Towns publication.
