DESCRIPTION

Tour Saquatucket Harbor and learn about the original Blue Economy supported by Cape Cod’s working waterfronts. The commercial fishing industry is a mainstay of the region’s history, culture, and economy. Fishing and shellfish aquaculture provide year-round employment for many Cape Cod residents and is a $250 million-a-year industry. Hear about the challenges faced by commercial fishermen and the ways Cape Cod is taking steps to sustain these small businesses and provide necessary and resilient harbor infrastructure critical to the continued success of the commercial fishing industry.
